Takizawa Kakumei DVD yeah!!

News is all over fandom about the release of Kakumei 2009 DVD. I think it’s gonna be a regret for a lifetime that there’s no WWTP DVD :( Sigh. But I definitely feel happy that after a long wait, fans are getting a new Kakumei DVD!!! :DDD

And woah it’s 8,800 yen for each of the 2 versions. That translates to approx S$136.41 each at the exchange rate of this second. (It dropped! Yesterday was ~$137-something) OMG S$270 for 2 sets of DVD?!! J-pop fandom can be so demanding in terms of resources sometimes. After you find a way to make a purchase in ship-in-Japan-only shops (think Tsubasa Shop, Tackey Shop and their attractive limited exclusives), you still need to fork out piles of cash for the goods.

I don’t think I’ll be getting Kakumei after spending an amount equivalent to one set on 5 copies of Backborn (1 each of Jacket A – C, and 2 copies of Jacket D) but yeah! Just wanna spread the Takitsuba love ♥

Arena 37°C

Tsubasa will be in the next issue of Arena 37°C, to be released Feb 10 in Japan. This, I knew some time ago thanks to tsubaholic’s blog :)

So I called Kinokuniya last evening to ask when it’ll arrive. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Hi, I want to enquire about this magazine called Arena 37 degrees… when is the next issue arriving?
Kino guy (K): It’ll arrive on Feb 1, 8pm. We only have sea shipment for that magazine.
Me: Sea? *worried* How about the next next issue, the one out in Japan on 10 Feb. When will that come in…?
K: May have to wait for a month… Oh please hold on for a while let me check…
(Plays music)
K: Hello? The next issue we’ll have air shipment. It’s that one with Imai Tsubasa on the cover?
Me: Yup! (XDDDDD)
K: It should arrive on 10 Feb at 2pm. But call us nearer to the date to confirm.

OMG THANK YOU KINO!!!! Thanks for recognising the importance of “that one with Imai Tsubasa on the cover” XDDDD I’m so gonna hang around Kino on 10 Feb from 1pm and grab my copy XDDD

They’re all black & white on the page, I wonder if this is the final design or will the actual jackets come in colour? Although, I think the black & white suits Tsubasa very much ♥

I ordered my “Backborn” Jackets A-D!!!

Haha yes that’s right, I’ve ordered ALL FOUR jackets for Tsubasa’s debut solo single “Backborn”. I’m such a crazy fangirl I can’t believe it ^^ Cost me more than a hundred Sing dollars there!

Ordered my Jackets A, B and C from CDJapan… They’ve been really reliable and fast so from now on I’ll just go with them for all my pre-orders. I love how they take good care of the products and ship them amazingly fast! Like, my KinKi J album was shipped out 2 days before the stated release date, meaning once they have stock, they’ll immediately pack them up for shipping. I like how they have different options too, for me who can wait for the less expensive Airmail to ship my items. Although I was really tempted to use EMS for “Backborn”… But the strength of the Yen shocked me so much, I just chose Airmail to leave a little more money for Jacket D.

And yes, my very kind friend currently working in Japan now really generously lent her address for me to order Jacket D… wanted to try out vPOST Japan, but Tsubasa Shop order form is so structured that I have tons of difficulty trying to input the vPOST address and my customer number. So I’m really grateful for my friend!!! Saved me tons of money on the vPOST extra charges or the heavy commission charged by deputy services. She’ll send me the items when they arrive at her residence, and I’ll just transfer the postage from JPN to SG to her SG bank account.

Thus, I’ve ordered 1 copy each of Jackets A-C, and 2 copies of Jacket D coz I want 2 sets of stickers, 1 to use and 1 to keep XD

Last Present

Had a little break today as it’s a public holiday, and I planned enough people to work so I can take leave for the day. Finally watched Tsuyo’s SP, Last Present, where he co-starred with Kanno Miho.

Johnny’s Countdown 2009-2010

Managed to catch a short glimpse of the countdown through K*yholeTV last night. I actually almost forgot about it at first, and was sitting comfortably on the sofa watching the HK drama that Mum was watching. I had just knocked off from work (Yes poor me, to work until night on New Year’s Eve =.=) and didn’t feel like getting off the sofa to bathe. Then Mum suddenly mentioned the word “countdown” and I was like “OH SHIT YES I NEED TO WATCH JOHNNY’S COUNTDOWN!!!” and sprang off the sofa. Haha!

It was already 2315hrs (Japan time) when that happened. So I rushed to grab my clothes, bathed, and bounced into my room to open my Macbook. I tried so hard to connect and at 2343hrs the connection went through and I saw the “Kono Ato (After this is…)” for the Countdown. Yayyy!!!

Unfortunately the streaming died after I saw Arashi’s songs and I could only hear a K8 song before I got disconnected. I tried so desperately to reconnect and after what seemed like eternity the streaming came back! But what happened was that it’s already past midnight in Japan -_-|||

Right after streaming came back, the ‘live’ went to Takki at Imperial Theatre, where he was rehearsing his Kakumei. AND RIGHT NEXT TO HIM WAS TSUBASA!!!!!!! I screamed and they sang a song with this dai sempai. After that song the dai sempai left and TAKITSUBA SANG VENUS. OMGOMGOMG I was soooo happy!!!! They looked really happy too, even on the heavily-pixelated tiny screen on my Macbook. They were having so much fun doing the furitsuke for Venus, and at the end when the camera gave them a super tight shot, they had their faces really close next to each other. It was the kind of tight shot that both the face fill up the entire screen. I was sooooooo happy to finally see them physically so close together again!!!!! *KYAAAA!!!*

Somehow my connection died again, after watching a lil of Arashi pretending to be K8 to sing Osaka, Sukiyanen complete with the big drawn sunflower mic stands. When the streaming finally worked again, the ‘live’ went to Takitsuba again :DDD I think Sho was asking them about 2010, and TAKKI said something along the lines of Takitsuba futari will ganbarimasu. As in, the two of them will work hard together. YESSSS!!!!! THANK YOU TAKKI!!!!!! I’ve waiting sooooo long for you to say those words, to show that you still love Tsubasa and wants to be with him ♥ XDDDD

Now I’m waiting for the HQ version to be up… I’ve seen links to a LQ version on Youtube but I think I can wait. The few minutes last night that I described above are enough to satisfy me till the HQ and hopefully subbed version is out~ :DDDD

Domoto Tsuyoshi [Shoujiki I LOVE YOU]

Went out to meet Yurong for lunch today, and after we parted I had this urge to go to this dangerous place called Kinokuniya. Originally I intended to check out the manga and magazine sections, then I wandered further and stopped by the photobook section.

Kino is HORRIBLY DANGEROUS. Because I fought a harsh battle there and was totally defeated by Tsuyo’s big round eyes and his little request at the bottom left: “買いなさい (Please buy)”. So I left home with my bank account severely wounded, while I grin non-stop to myself looking through this must-buy for all Tsuyo fans XDDDD
